Main Menu
The Main Menu screen shows the user all the available options of the Point of Service software.

The menu options on the page allow users to navigate to menus or functions of the software.


Start SFSD Point of Service – this button starts the main SFSD Point of Service module. This module is where all meal transactions occur, and is the screen displayed when the POS workstation is active on the line.
Deposit by Number – this button starts the main SFSD Deposit by Number module. This module is designed for Quick processing of Deposits.
Accounts - this button starts the Accounts module. This module has options dealing with participant accounts and includes:
  • Account Balances
  • Account Criteria Setup
  • Charge Letter Wording
  • Low Account Balance Letter Wording
  • Account Transactions Lookup
  • Account Adjustments Lookup
  • Deposits to Accounts
  • Low Account Letters
Demographics – this button starts the SFSD Demographics module. This module is used to set preferences for demographic data entry and to add/edit participants.
Eligibility – this button starts the SFSD Eligibility module. This module is used to setup and maintain student eligibility infomation and to perform the daily Eligibility Edit Check.
Lines – this button starts the SFSD Lines module. This module is used to setup Lines and Menu Items used at the Point of Service.
Meal Pricing – this button starts the SFSD Meal Pricing module. This module is used to set Meal Pricing for each Meal Type per Meal Status Type. The Meal Pricing module can be used to maintain differing Meal Prices for different grade ranges.*
Preferences – this button starts the SFSD Meal Preferences module. This module is used to set preferences for the main Point of Service module. Preferences include:
  • Participant Picture Directory
  • Quick Meal Mode - Automatic or Manual
  • Default Payment Type - Cash or Account
  • Starting Cash
  • Tax Percentage
  • Database Locations (diagnostic use only)
End of Day Reports – this button starts the SFSD Daily Reconciliation module. Here, users can print and view transactions for each day, and upload daily POS information to the district.
On-Line Help - this button starts the SFSD Point of Service tutorial. This is also the link to various utilities used in the SFSD Point of Service software.
