Version 6.0.2

later than the processing date from being served or found by the system
for deposit purposes.
Version 6.0.1
This new version represents a
huge step forward in meeting the needs and wants of our customers and will
be considered to be a major update. Please read below for details on this
important update.
Improved Void Handling
- Once an item is voided, it cannot be revoided,
nor can the void be voided.
- Transaction Log does not display voids unless the Display Voids
checkbox is checked. Voids are displayed in red for easy identification.
- District controlled option to print all voids on the Daily Summary
Report.
- Seperate Void Report added.
- Voids are submitted to the district office application
(FUNDamentals) and may be reported on through the SFSD Point of Service
Module for FUNDamentals.
Meal Selection in Transaction Log
- Users now have the option to view only those transactions that took
place during a specific meal.
Earned Meals
- Users may begin noticing Earned Breakfasts or Lunches on the Daily
Summary Report. These earned meals are combinations of ala carte items
purchased during the same meal by the same student where the combined
nutritional requirements meet or exceed the nutritional requirements of
a student meal. The meal components for ala carte items
are established in the Lines module, Menu Items setup screen. These
earned meal counts are also written to FUNDamentals and used in the
calculation of earned federal and state reimbursements.
Meals Served by Grade Report
- Added a great new report that displays meals served by grade and
meal status. This report comes with a new setup screen that enables
users to establish grade groups. The Meals Served by Grade report uses
these groups to provide subtotals by group. A good example where this
might be useful is a K-12 site where the elementary meals must be
tracked seperately from the higher grades.
MySQL Compliancy Testing Completed!
- Visual Solutions is proud to annonce that all
SFSD Point of Service Modules have passed quality testing running in a
MySQL database environment, and are ready for use. The only additional
requirement is the MySQL ODBC Connector v. 3.5.1. The SFSD Point of
Service application will now operate under these three
database formats:
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft SQL Server/MSDE/Express
- MySQL Server v. 5.2.3 (tested)
More Information Flow to FUNDamentals for more Point of Service
Module Reports
- Check Deposits Reports - All checks received for
deposit are recorded daily in FUNDamentals. This will provide a huge
resource for district adimistrators. I am sure that many useful reports
will be created with this information.
- Ala Carte Sales Reports - All Ala Carte Sales are
recorded daily in FUNDamentals. This will help district administrators
know exactly what ala carte items are being sold at each site.
- Void Reports - As mentioned above, voids will be
recorded daily in FUNDamentals. These reports will help administrators
identify training needs and provide a more detailed audit trail.
More Reliable Counters While Serving
- There were several situations in which the counters at the bottom of
the screen might display incorrect numbers. These issues have been
resolved.
Automatic Reports Update Feature
- We have found another way to make the SFSD Point of Service
application even easier to maintain by delivering new reports and report
updates automatically. If the program detects that a report is missing
or has been updated, the new report file will installed without any user
intervention.
