SFSD Procurement and Inventory Solution - Inventory Module
Inventory Base Files
Inventory Base Files are one of the most important concepts in the SFSD Procurement and Inventory Solutions software. They provide the definitions for shelf units, minimum on hand amounts, and visibility for all Approved Products for each school or warehouse in the system.
The Bulk Column indicates the delivery unit. For the Default Warehouse, this will always be the Vendor Delivery Container. For schools, and other warehouses, this will always be the shelf unit packaging type for the Default Warehouse.
The Shelf Unit Column indicates the number of units selected in the Pack Description column per Bulk Container.
The Pack Size Column indicates the size of the Shelf Unit.
The Pack Description indicates the Shelf Unit Pack Description. This should always represent the smallest countable unit that will be considered when performing a physical inventory count for the site.
The Minimum Bulk Column is used to set a threshhold value to be used in the Minimum On-Hand Order screen for automatic or suggested ordering.
The Inactive Column is used to make an item invisible to the selected site. An item marked as Inactive will not print on Order Guides or Inventory Worksheets for the selected site.
The Set to One 1 Bulk is used to reset all Shelf Units and Pack Descriptions to a 1 1 Bulk configuration (like EACH 1 1 EACH or CASE 1 1 CASE) for any selected row.
The Set All to One 1 Bulk is used to reset all Shelf Units and Pack Descriptions to a 1 1 Bulk configuration (like EACH 1 1 EACH or CASE 1 1 CASE) for all rows displayed in the grid.
This screen utilizes the standard right-click menus and Quick Find for filtering and sorting. Additionaly, the grid may be filtered by Item Type using the Item Type drop box.
